Portland Oregon Khmer Wedding Celebration

I realize this is an old post. So, why am I posting now after it's been 2 years(currently in 2020)?

Part of the reason why I adore documenting is for the sake of witnessing the interactions between human socializing. Everyone has a different perspective, a way of viewing and on various topics. So what does this mean to live a harmonious life?

Khmer or Cambodian weddings take place over several days and it starts with a neighborhood walk. A celebration that invites your relatives to help bring gifts. In fact, everyone is considered "family" today and anyone can join! Are traditions gone in the modern society? Not even close. I just see a merge or two loving souls and their families coming together. The soft bright whites compliments alongside with bold and rich tones.

This was the very reason why I decided that this gorgeous wedding deserves to be seen across the world. For all to enjoy and offer insight on weddings across all ethnic groups.
