Womb-Mates

I had photographed their first baby a few years ago and I was delighted to hear Mum's due to expect twin boys this time. But, then I got the text- that one of the baby had passed and was delivered. However, they were able to keep Baby B.

I think I sat there still for a couple of minutes because it was such a fragile moment. I had a lump in my throat and remembering just how to approach not only as a photographer, but also as a friend and a fellow human. Of course, this is the last thing I'd expect to hear from anyone. It broke my heart.

The very least I could do is document to my heart's abilities for the family's memories because this will forever live in their hearts and soul. Not only that, we should celebrate just how resilient Baby B is- this is his legacy!
